Ice is beginning to form in the darkness of the nights, but the day remains mildly warm. The leaves are piling up, most of the trees standing bare.

January 11, 2005 - Seph died...
Sorry I haven't been around... Seph died. I may or not reopen this place... Poe can have it if she wants it. I'm sorry everyone. I'm having a hard time dealing... with stuff...

September 25, 2005 - Unexpected stuff
We have another member! Brehr! ^_^ Sorry it took me so long to put this up... I wanted to make sure everyone saw the previous update. Anyway, I hope everybody gives Brehr a very warm welcome, :) Also, I'm sorry to say this but Poe will be away for the next few days. Her computer died (after giving my computer a virus), and she said she has to take it to get it fixed. Oh, and the new layout is going to take a little longer than I thought. My files were wiped out after Poe's gracious e-mail attachment, so I have to go through and make the entire thing again. >_< Grrr.

September 19, 2005 - Plot update and avatar
Alright, I finally got around to updating the plot. Emphasis on the word: finally. And I've also put Amorak's first avatar character up for adoption! Her place in the plot isn't needed yet, but I thought I'd let whoever becomes her player roleplay a little while and get into the character. We've got big plans for the future of Amorak, and lots of action to be had once the current characters get established and find a territory to join. Also, my progress on the new layout is slow, but it is progress. :D Hopefully I should be done by this Sunday. And... just to let everyone know, since everybody voted blue and gray, it will be those colors. I'll try to keep my experimenting to a minimum, but if you log on and see a little distortion on Amorak, it's just me getting the new layout to work.
- Kami ( Endre )

September 12, 2005 - Layout poll
Okay, as promised, I set up a poll for anyone interested in the new layout's look. Feel free to cast a vote if you'd like to. XD If not... then you'll have to make due with whatever colors I choose. Haha. J/k ^_^ Anyway, activity is kind of dropping... it's not a big problem right now, but if things get any worse I may get more annoying on the topic. Thank you to everyone who checks back daily! And in some people's cases: twice or even three times a day! Also, I'd like to say that the activity check is over and that Romus and DemonBlink have been deleted. I would be willing to add them back in provided they explain why they were gone... For either who might be reading this... O.o Yeah... that's about it.
- Kami ( Endre )

September 8, 2005 - Activity check
The activity check is still up and going, for those who haven't posted yet (DemonBlink and Romus). Also, we have a new member!! Yay! Everyone give a warm welcome to Dark (Heath)! And last but not least: still waiting on the layout poll and working a few kinks out of the plot. A new story has come into the mix, so we've got some added action to consider when I finally get around to posting something about it. *Hint* It's going to include Amaari's and Endre's (well.... mostly Amaari's) puppies. There's going to be at least two characters up for grabs in the adoptions forum (if I ever get around to writing their bios -_x ). And... that's about it.
- Kami ( Endre )

September 4, 2005 - Activity check!
The activity check is up! It's very simple, just log in and reply to the thread with a list of your characters. Their names will be crossed off the list and you're safe until the next check! ^_^ I also would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who is still around. Amorak's a month old! We still have a few plots to get under way that should hopefully make the entire thing a lot more interesting for everybody. And I've also been thinking of changing the layout. After the activity check I'll post a poll and you guys can tell me what colors might look good. :D Thanks again and have a good day!
- Kami ( Endre )

September 2, 2005 - Heads up
This is Seph. I wanted to warn everyone that an activty check may be in the very near future. A few members have been noticably absent, and it's making Endre a little peeved. XD Keep a look out, it will be announced here, and everyone should hopefully see it in the conversation forum when it's up. Those who don't reply will be deleted, no excuses. And please, help us advertise. If you haven't noticed, we've got a few more affiliates, but no new members. :( Let's get this place moving, people! :D Thanks!

 Bleached Uncertainty

It always then, there, here, and now. The constant babbling of Brehr’s mind could be heard miles away, but only by him. Only his auds would be able to pick up the sudden thrashes of his words, the ones that hid deep inside of him, the very same words he tried to hide and lock away for good. He had thought he left those words behind, but they kept coming back to him, haunting him till he couldn’t take it any more. These words were a constant reminder of what could happen, and what did happen. They were a blur between reality and the past, often unseen and protected by a brick wall.

It was just one of those days, when he would just sit upon his haunches and appear as though he were rested and calm. From the outside maybe that’s how it looked, but on the inside he was fighting back imaginary images. Just watching the world go by, leaving him behind to wallow in his own pull of blood.

Brehr’s frame felt heavy although he was thinning from the lack of food he has had on his journey. He was sick, probably from the lack of other’s to hold him up in a time of need or put him down when he was too high to reach. He was used to being a pack, he was tired of being alone and left out of the picture. His own song was carried through out the lands he sat in, hollowed out the crevices and deepened the already bent in holes. His whispers and howls only a faint cry in the cold darkness.

Zanuke was in a rather fitful mood. The past day's disappointments made him flinch at the memory, and he quickly tried to focus upon something else. The trees, the world, the wildlife... A loud rumble split his attention, however, and the wolf glanced down at his growling stomache. He needed to eat... he'd been so lost in worry and guilt these past few moons that he'd entirely forgotten. Shaking his head with an embarassed grin, the mascu turned his mind to finding food. A lone hare, a fawn, even a squirrel or two would be enough to satisfy his hunger. But it wasn't anything edible that he found. Ears perking, golden eyes narrowing, the brute observed the wandering rogue.

He tried to discern the other's expression, hoping to gather any hints he could as to this one's personality. Was he already Endre's minion? Or perhaps he was a scout for Amaari? Zanuke shrugged, allowing a frieldy, yet cautious, smile to cross his features. Stepping boldly into the other's line of view, the Tyaro alpha let his posture arise to something mildly dominant, like an alpha's should be. But it wasn't prideful, or arrogant, like most. Zanuke was simply an easy-going guy, and he conveyed the message well. "Greetings."He called, approaching slowly, watching the other's movement with an acute interest. If this one was hostile, Zanuke would know in a second.

With a quick snap of the head, Brehr could already sense another coming forth to greet him. All of the words haunting him before were gone, they had disappeared completely. He was glad a wolf had been in the area to reply to his calling, a look of surprise and happiness was conveyed about his features. His thin golden orbs flashed from the ground to the brute in front of him, he couldn’t tell what position this wolf was in. It seemed like he was just another ryoka just like himself, but it was not in his interests to underestimate a wolf he has not yet met.

Brehr calmly made a short bow, showing he meant no harm to the wolf and respected him for the friendly greeting. His tassel hung low and its movements could barely be seen as he swayed it back and forth against the wind. “Greetings, I apologize ahead of time if I am trespassing on anyone’s land.” He wasn’t one to make small talk, a short greeting was fine and he was able to sit there and listen to the other male talk.

Zanuke was put at ease when the other replied with friendly words. He hadn't been wanting a fight, and now that he knew one wouldn't come, the alpha put more effort into looking like the relaxed authority he was. Coming to a stop a few feet away from the rogue, the mascu took the wolf in with a quick glance, determining that the other brute was pleasant enough. Respectable enough. He allowed a welcoming grin to cross his muzzle, letting his ears drop back against his furred skull and his eyes to roam the forest in a way that might hint of dominance, but not proclaim it. Zanuke didn't need others to submit to him, but he didn't like to lie and pretend he was not an alpha.

"No worries, Friend. This land is neutral ground, unclaimed by anyone." He explained, easing himself into a sitting position and watching the other wolf's movements. The rogue seemed rather silent, as if he wanted Zanuke to speak, as if he were not one for small talk. To the point, I like that. Zanuke nodded, glancing about the region once more before opening his maw to speak again. "My name is Zanuke. I'm the alpha of Tyaro Lake, a nearby territory. If I might inquire... who are you?" He asked, his tone subtle and polite. Patient and friendly.

Brehr was glad to hear that he was not trespassing; he had come across other terras that did not have quite the nice alpha in the past. That was something he didn't want to experience again. He also didn't want to fight, his weak stance showed just that. His ears were steady against his round cranium, along with his pulled back tassel. Brehr watched the brute with ease, noting his calm stature and warm smile toward one such as him. A sly smile also crawled upon his own maw, his opticals their normal slits you would think he couldn’t see anything out of, the whole look pulled together looked sinister or evil. But the wolf on the inside was definitely the opposite.

Brehr heeded the brujo’s words and in turn opened his own maw to speak. “I am Brehr, nothing more then a passing ryoka that has somehow landed in Amorak.” He looked around at his surroundings, past the alpha and up to the sky. The land seemed vast and deep, Brehr had only expected to be traveling miles more before running into anyone. Luckily his silence was decimated by being found by this alpha.

The rogue's appearance seemed to be one of enraged agression, something like what Endre might display. However, as he continued talking, the alpha sensed quite the opposite in the wolf's personality. Both intriguing him and making him rather suspicious, the mascu allowed the other wolf the benefit of the doubt. He didn't really think this wanderer was one of Endre's minions, but his mind couldn't immediately rule the notion out. However interested he was in getting to know the newcomer. Nodding to his words, Zanuke bowed his head slightly, a polite mannerism he'd been taught as a pup.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Brehr. I'm surprised to see that you know where you've landed. Most wolves hear the rumors circulating about Amorak, but it isn't until someone tells them that they've entered the area that they ever really know." He explained, thinking back to the past few experiences he had had with passing wolves. "Anyway, would you mind my asking of your business here?" He asked, ears perking at attention, waiting patiently for Brehr's answer.
